Anakin was exhausted. His very bones ached, and he thought he deserved a well earned break. He and his padawan Ahsoka had just returned from a gruesome campaign on Geonosis, and they now found themselves on a command ship headed slowly towards Courscant.
The past few days had been perilous; Anakin had thought he had lost his padawan on a daily basis. He didn’t know how to react- how to handle himself- had she really perished. Ahsoka meant everything to him… he loved her. Although strangely, he felt as if he were attracted to her somehow. But of course she was far too young, and that sort of conduct was forbidden in the Jedi Order. Better not even to think of it. But he still did.
They both walked down a large corridor to the Jedi sleeping quarters. It was a secluded part of the ship separated off from the main clone activity. For security, anyway. There were no monitoring droids, or guards within a shouting distance. Jedi preferred it that way. Master and padawan walked side by side, making their way to their separate bed chambers.
